This is my first ever review - I hope it helps.

False Profit is an interesting book, about an expat property developer in Dubai who is bored of the comfortable life and takes an opportunity to break free of the rut - in the form of an immensely dodgy property deal.

The plot was well-thought-through and kept the book rocking along despite some unnecesary subplots and some slightly waffly narration. The descriptions of the Middle East were excellent.

I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a good real-seeming story, who wants to know more about the expat life, or who likes a caper with a dark side.
